Diplomate of ABHRS
Mark Boles, M.D., has been with Nu/Hart Hair Clinics since 1992 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.
In November of 1992, Dr. Boles began performing hair transplantations with Nu/Hart. Since that time, he has completed approximately 6,000 hair restoration procedures, which have included follicular unit ranges of up to 3,000 per case. He is also skilled in the NeoGrafting (Follicular Unit Extraction) process. Additionally, Dr. Boles dedicated eighteen months in researching and testing the best
instruments used in NeoGrafting sessions. These state-of-the art instruments have helped reduce NeoGrafting session times and guarantee that few follicles will be transected in the process.
Dr. Boles belongs to the International Society of Hair Restoration, and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is licensed in Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico. He is also a member of Nu/Hart’s Medical Board, which meets quarterly to develop and study any further advancements in the hair restoration industry.
Dr. Boles earned a bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic University in microbiology and chemistry and his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean in Montserrat.
Trained as a Navy Corpsman during the Vietnam War, Dr. Boles transferred to the Marine Corps, where he was Honorably Discharged in 1979.
He served his internship and residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, and he practiced general pediatrics in Greensburg and Murrysville, PA. Dr. Boles is currently the pediatric emergency room physician at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Boles lives in Monroeville, PA with his wife, Valerie, and two sons. His son, Chad, is a member of the U.S. Army’s Special Forces, while Matt is currently entering medical school.
