FAQ

Is a personal consultation necessary?

Yes, a personal consultation by phone or in person is necessary. The main purpose
of this consultation is to see if you are a suitable candidate for hair transplantation
and to determine approximately how many grafts will be needed to achieve your
expectations. Your current hair loss pattern will be evaluated and a future projection
will be suggested as accurately as possible. Also, a plan for solving your hair loss
problem will be explained to you as well as the total cost of the procedure. Your final
consultation will be with a Nu/Hart specially trained physician prior to your session.

How does the new hair transplant
micro-technology work?

Nu/Hart Client Close-up
Early hair transplant technology utilized
large round grafts that produced an
unnatural appearance. The new and
more refined method utilizes the smaller
mini and micro hair grafts. This new
approach recreates the way human hair
grows, in units of one hair or groups of
two or three hairs, resulting in a more
natural looking appearance. The hairline looks natural when it is recreated using
the staggering of one or occasionally two hair grafts. Reasonable density with
a natural look for the rest of the head is maintained by using grafts that average
three to five hairs each. These grafts, although not as refined as micro grafts,
provide maximum density when requested by the patient and still maintains a
natural look. The doctor works with the client in deciding the various graft options
after evaluating the donor area, hair density, and scalp condition

Will hair transplants fall out?

No, hair that is transplanted from a healthy donor area will last
a lifetime for most patients.

Q&A Doctor

Is there a lot of pain involved?

Most clients have said that going to the
dentist was more traumatic than having a
hair transplant procedure. Local anesthetics
are administered before the session.
After the initial injections, most clients are
completely comfortable. Post-operative pain
medications are available if needed.

What does the donor area scar look like?

Our transplant surgeons carefully suture the donor area after harvesting
the grafts. The sutures can easily be removed after 10 days. When the scar is
completely healed, it is no bigger than the crease in the palm of you hand.
