I’d like to take a moment to tell you about my hair restoration experience. I am a 37 year old professional and I live in Chicago, IL. I’m active and I lead a great social and professional life. I consider myself to be successful and confident, which is why I believe it’s so important to share my story.
I first noticed my hair loss right after I received my bachelor’s degree at around the age of 22. It was an awful feeling and I can relate to any of you young guys that are reading this. I always felt self-conscious about my thinning hair. I was constantly staring at it when I walked by mirrors and I felt like women were staring directly at my receding hair line. It kept me from feeling like the active go-getter that I normally am. I continued to deal with the thinning, hiding it under ball caps or hats any time that I could, until I finally decided to start interviewing doctors. It was the 90’s and hair plugs were big business, but I was hesitant about the procedure so I waited. I am so glad that I did! The hair plug procedures of the 90’s didn’t produce the natural feel and effect that hair transplants do today.
As the years peddled on I noticed my hair loss began to take a dramatic turn for the worse a couple of years ago. My hair was drastically thinning and there was little to no way for me to cover it at all. I began to feel panicky and noticed a major change in my confidence and behavior. It felt embarrassing to lose my hair and even though I couldn’t control it, I felt responsible. I take care of myself. I eat well, I work out five days a week, I have a beautiful girlfriend, but I couldn’t control my hair loss. It was extremely frustrating.
At that point I decided it was time to revisit some doctors and see what advancements had been made in the world of hair loss solutions. I began reading articles online, researching procedures, and I communicated with patients on forums to learn about their experiences. The NuHart name came up again and again. After a few months of dedicated research I decided to contact the NuHart offices and schedule a consultation.
I was able to schedule an appointment for the following week. When I arrived I met with a few members of their team who gave me a complete overview of my hair loss. They then had me meet with the physician and they recommended a few hair transplant options that would best suit me and my situation. I opted for a NeoGrafting procedure. There were no stitches and I was kept extremely comfortable. I noticed the change immediately, but the real results came about three and half months later. I couldn’t believe the amount of hair that I had grown. My hair now looks full and completely natural. There was no scarring and the healing time was minimal! My hair looks better now than it did when I graduated from college and I couldn’t feel or look better!
